They want us to draw Brazil. We
accept the invitation. But Brazil
sounds huge and there is no time
to acomplish such task. Where to
start? And how to satisfy someone’s desire of you drawing
something like that? What are they thinking of? Is it a good idea to draw Brazil from Peru? How do you draw that? What are we looking for? Which art tools would be useful? What is Brazil?
Somehow in an erratic and chaotic manner we decided to search for
hints and traces of Brazil - or what
we thought as brazilian- in Peru. It
was more appealing to find a way
of thinking about “the foreign”
inside “our own” than to go after
some kind of essences. Then, what
to look at? And although we thought
on music, food, dance, clothings, accents, bootlegging, merchandise going in and out, the question
remains there... What is that about Brazil they want us to draw?
We accept the invitation but we
turn it upside down.Better leave
it as Drawing B...
